Contents:

Despite good management, many projects, whether in construction or any other field, end in failure or mixed results. The fault lies in poor risk management. Project management is, of course, about managing resources, costs and schedules, but it's also about managing the unexpected. But contingency management (and therefore risk management) is often lacking.

Although risk management is one of the components recommended by the various bodies of knowledge on project management, it remains little taught. The reason: risk management is a discipline in its own right: people trained in project management are not necessarily trained in risk management.

This training course aims to fill this gap by providing a risk management knowledge base for project managers. With this knowledge, project managers will be in a better position to manage projects by ensuring that risks and contingencies are identified and addressed at every phase of project delivery.
